Céline Ruiz is a choreographer and Tango dancer recognized for her qualities of interpreter and teacher. She has performed in numerous international festivals (Buenos Aires, Seoul, Paris, Rome, Seattle, Istanbul), and in many shows, include “Tangos Clasicos” at the Théâtre National de Chaillot in June 2008. In 1999, she met Damian Rosenthal, an Argentine dancer, with whom she worked in partnership for 14 years in Europe, the United States, Asia and Buenos Aires. Céline Ruiz has been part of many dance companies (Union Tanguera, All That Tango Dance Company, Compania Argentina). In 2005, she collaborated with Richard Galliano Bouffes du Nord, for the release of his double album live. In 2009, she founded with Damian Rosenthal, her own company, Not Tonight, and created the show, “Tango, Pulsacion n ° 1”, a piece mixing Argentine Tango, theater and video. Since 2010, she regularly performs on stage with Tanguisimo and Tanguarda orchestras. Since 2014, she has been working regularly with the Italian dancer and choreographer Alberto Colombo, both in France and abroad in numerous workshops and festivals. They participated in the creation of the show ‘Tandem’ in 2014-2015 in Milan, at the theater Asteria. In December 2016, Celine Ruiz choreographed a tango for two actors in Goldoni’s “Les Amoureux”, currently playing at the Dejazet theater in Paris, until April 2017. Since September 2019, Celine Ruiz is working on a new show, as a choreographer, which will be called “Y debo decir que….”/“Et voilà que je dois dire …”, after a text from Cortázar. Céline Ruiz also works solo, and is invited all over Europe (France, Italy, Belgium) for her workshops of Tango Technique and Choreography.
